Overview

We raise funds to support programs, resources, and opportunities that enhance the educational experience for Spruce Elementary students. While schools receive funding for essential operations, fundraising helps bridge gaps and provides additional enrichment that may not otherwise be available.

Here's how the funds we raise support our school community:

Support classroom supplies, technology, and educational materials.
Provide enrichment programs, assemblies, and field trips.
Enhance school events and family engagement activities.
Fund library resources and learning initiatives.
Improve playgrounds, outdoor spaces, and school facilities.
Recognize, appreciate, and support teachers and staff.
Maintain Spruce PTO infrastructure, including communication platforms, video conferencing, liability insurance, and other administrative expenses to operate as a non-profit organization.

How we Raise Funds

Fred Meyer Community Rewards Program

Fred Meyers donates a percentage of the shopping you do every day to Spruce PTO.

Here's how to set it up - you can do this online, through the Fred Meyer's app, or in-person at the customer service desk:

Create a Fred Meyer's shoppers card (if you do not already have one) or login.
Link your Fred Meyer's shoppers card to Spruce PTO
Scan your Fred Meyer's card every time you shop!

Dine-Outs

Throughout the school year, we partner with local restaurants to help us raise funds. Typically restaurants give us a percentage (20 - 30%) on specific date of their proceeds. With our community's support, we raise about $800 / year.

Direct Donations

We accept direct donations! We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit and your donations are tax deductible.

Direct donations help us spend less time fundraising and more time supporting our school.

You may set-up a regular monthly donation ($5 / month) or a one-time donation $25 / family.

If every Spruce family donated just $5, we'd earn $3,000.

Matching Gift Programs

Many companies have programs where they will match the charitable contributions made by their employees. Through corporate gift matching, your employer can multiple the impact of your gift to Spruce PTO. Companies and foundations use various procedures by which employees can request matching gifts. Reach out to your HR to see if your company will match your gift.
